Joining a family of sturdy motoryachts from 52 to 65 feet long, the Squadron 58 from Fairline Boats PLC features contemporary European styling, spacious accommodation and tough sea-keeping qualities associated with all Fairline boats, according to press material from the international boat builder.
Highlights of Squadron 58 include a spacious flybridge, which features three helm seats to the central console steering position. Forward of the helmsman position is a sunpad for private sunbathing, which also can provide further seating for guests. Aft, the C-shaped seating allows for generous entertaining and alfresco dining and a wet bar incorporates a sink, fridge and fully equipped BBQ griddle. Convenient access to the saloon is via an internal stairway.
From the flybridge integral steps lead down to the covered aft cockpit with teak-laid decks, weatherproof seating and access hatch to the optional crew cabin with ensuite facilities. Twin transom gates lead to the bathing platform with tender garage, bathing ladder, hot and cold shower, wet locker and hydraulic passerelle.
The generous foredeck sun-bathing area is accessed from the cockpit via wide side decks with high stainless steel handrails to allow easy movement around the boat, a key point for non-boating guests and crew.From the aft cockpit, full-width doors lead to the interior, which is light and spacious, with electronically operated side tinted side windows. The boat has full standing headroom throughout its interior.
The saloon boasts a generous spacious seating and entertaining area. Steps rise to the dining area, fully equipped galley, main helm position and access to cabins below. A utility room with freezer and washer/drier can be incorporated is optional in place of a fourth cabin.
Finish work in the Squadron 58 is first-rate. Joinery and wood panels are multi-lacquered in America Cherry and Eucalyptus or Honey Maple and Bird's Eye Maple.
The full width master cabin features a full size bed, has generously proportioned en-suite facilities and clothes storage and walk-in full height closet. Two guest cabins, a double and twin, are fitted to the same standard and an optional fourth twin cabin, single or twin, can be fitted mid ships with access from the saloon.A day head is standard.
